About Wasatch
Wasatch Compensation
Survey Association

Because a perceived lack of data for manufacturing positions in the Wasatch Front (the Greater Salt Lake City area) the late Wayne Smith, Thiokol, created a coalition of approximately 20 area firms with similar interests.

A planning committee was established in late 1994, co-chaired by Jodi Holt and Kelli Rose both members of Wayne’s Thiokol staff. Other members of that committee included James Mack, Alliant Tech-Systems, Lori Nelson, E System/Montek Division (now Moog Aircraft Group-Montek), Brian Bambrough, Litton Systems GESD, Mike Liptrot, Parker Hannifin and David Warnick, Valtek International. They identified positions and developed job briefs.

The initial survey was published in May 1995 with data on eighty positions from 19 participating firms. In addition to the Salary Survey there was a Benefits Overview covering 11 subjects. A Turnover and Turnover Aging was added in 1996.

In February 2004 we will be conducting our tenth survey. Participation is up to 30 firms covering 129 positions and 20 benefit subjects. The ninth annual Turnover and Turnover Aging Surveys will also be conducted by member firms.

The Association makes available for sale to bona fide human resources professionals aggregated data from its Salary Survey and Turnover study. For more information on purchasing this data, or the association, you are invited to contact:
